Anthony McDonald, AMFT
My name is Anthony and I am a registered Marriage and Family Therapist (#121194) under the supervision of Vidur Malik. I graduated from Santa Clara University with a master’s degree in counseling psychology, emphasis in LGBTQ+ counseling.
Since graduating, I have worked with children, adolescents, families, and adults through difficulties related to depression, anxiety, trauma, panic attacks, aggression, life transitions, grief & loss, self-esteem, family conflict, and maladaptive behaviors.
Through my experience in providing mental health counseling and therapeutic services in community- and school-based settings, as well as Mindful Practices, I have been able to practice and hone my passion for supporting clients in working through challenges that may stem from feeling unvalidated, disregarded, and unseen. Using an Interpersonal, Humanistic, and Existential therapy approach helps me to get to know clients authentically and develop a strong therapeutic relationship to support them in achieving their goals in therapy and beyond. I strive to make every client interaction a step forward towards healing.
For more information about the mental health counseling and therapy services I provide, contact us today to schedule a free, 15-minute, initial phone consultation. I look forward to speaking with you and helping in any way I can.
